Ray Sloan Northumbrian Pipes.

Post by Pipewort »

This set has a G chanter, and four 'complicated' drones, keyed at F and a bit/G, made of african black wood, brass, amd faux ivory. The set is playing well and comes with a bellows.

Chanter: Made in 1998. The chanter has 11 keys, and is in good condition.The keys play :- Bottom Hand; D,E, F, F# G#, C#. Top Hand; e=, f, g#, a,b.
Drones: Four drones; Large D, Large G; Small D, Small d,. There are five tuning beads. One each on the large D(D and E), small d, (d and e), and small g (g and a), and two on the large G (G, A and B).This allows the keys of D Major, A Major, AMinor, and E Minor to be played. Drone reeds have copper bodies and cane tongues.

The bag (leather not requiring seasoning, and with a blue velvet cover) and chanter is fitted with a common stock system.
