Hi

I found on YouTube Erwan Menguy that, with Veillon, now results one of my favorite player...
Have you other suggestions to listen other players like him?

Thanks in advance

Tell us something.: I like whistles, flutes, lyres, cittern/mandolin/bouzouki family instruments, as well as heavy and nasty slap bass. Languages, linguistics, history (especially Migration Period and Bronze Age Europe), cuisine from various parts of Latin America, chili growing, bushcraft, and the works of JRR Tolkien also tickle my fancy.

Calum Stewart also; there are quite a few youtube videos of him.

Check out Calum and the brilliant guitarist Heikki Bourgault playing Calum's composition "Schottishe Kerlou"

Add Canada's Nicholas Williams to the list--he has a couple of solo recordings and is a member of Crowfoot.

No mention of Jean-Michel Veillon?

Calum is great, no question, but J-M is the master. Is he too old? Passé? Is it me? Am I too old and passé?

For starters: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bmOWV5F-Ro

Look for him on Youtube and let me know what you think.

Tell us something.: I've been a whistle player for over 40 years now, which is a sobering thought. I got started on a battered old Generation D and, well, just never stopped really!

Current gigs are The Powderkegs border morris, the concert band Trebuchet with our music theatre show The Mill Ballads www.themillballads.com, and Welsh dance band Caffl.
