 Happy Snow Day!
Where do you live Cranberry? I know there's a huge cold front that came in today for the southeast... yesterday I had to have all my windows open to stay cool, and today when I went out to walk the dog it was cold enough to make me shiver! Madness I say.

It even snowed here in the NC piedmont. I don't recall ever seeing snow here this late in March.

I live in West Virginia, but on the side of a hill, in a valley, where it's almost always colder than everywhere else around. Every time it snows, we keep the snow a few days longer than anybody else. I like snow and all, but I don't want to see any for a while...

We got about 4 inches today! :o Really wet stuff! The trees on the mountain were beautiful. They said it is called the "Robin snow" and that we should also have an "Onion snow" coming too.

On my way to a support our service men and women rally today, I had to dodge hundreds of robins sitting on the wet road trying to keep warm. Wonder if that's where they got the name "Robin snow" from?

Cheers,
Kathy :)

Lousy, I can't believe I've gotta spend another day on the route tomorrow fighting snow again!

Oh I wish I were in that kind of a predicament. It was about 80 degrees here in th greater LA area today, the first really hot day. No coat for me, only shorts, t-shirt, and sandals. I wish it would rain again.

First Spring Weekend

Post by fatveg »

First warmth this year. First cut of the grass.
Tractors out. Housemate got Kubota first. Thats OK.
I'm on the baby one. Dead battery from the winter. Jumped, sparks.
Sat on porch. Played Inisheer. Badly. Redhook ESB.
Listened to Jason Webley. He likes vegetables too.
Cried a little about the world. How the heck did we get here?
Hot-tub's fixed. May be a clear night. Watch stars.

Amazing. So West VA and other parts south got more snow then we did!
It was cold here but only a few flurries.

The Upper penninsula got quite a bit of snow. Up to 13 inches. I always knew it was a better place to visit then live.
I'm no longer trying a new posting paradigm
