FS: 19th century Besson & co. piccolo flute

Post by OJBELL »

Im looking to sell my Besson 6 key piccolo flute. It is believed to be late 1800s (probably 1870's) manufactured by Besson & co. and comes complete in its box. I believe the smaller middle section is not origional though a replacement could be easily made. All 6 sprung keys are functional and have their pads.

HERE IS THE PHOTO... http://postimg.org/image/chv3tjyin/

The stamp on the body of the flute reads: Class A Besson & co. makers 198 euston road, London, british made followed by a 5 point star. The serial number is 2706 (so its one of the early ones)

The wood is cocus, with silver-nickel metalwork. I will of course consider all sensible offers. Im located in Herefordshire in england if anyone happens to be local and wants a look..
