I actually have a separate folder in my hard drive for the strange sound/video files I've collected since joining this Whistle Board. Besides the various pieces played on candy slide whistle, straw chanter, etc, I still have Greg's (can't remember which greg) video file of him playing Sally Gardens on his tiny keychain whistle. That last one was a classic, and I'm still amazed the maker of that keychain actually made the whistle playable and more or less in tune.

I suspected what I was listening to was nose flutes.
I followed your instructions and viewed the image last..

Hey may have a new thing going for sessions.
Add a few Kazoos for drone effects and you have a great sound!!!

Thanks, Ava, for this priceless gift. You've given me two definitive versions of rare Irish songs that I hope, someday, I will be able to play with such perfection. The call of the nose flute and slide whistle is, like the Sirens of ancient myth, irresistible. I am filled with longing, and not a little amour for the players of such exquisite music. They are gods.
