Why didn't you set your preferences to GMT -8?

A big thanks to ChattyKathy, who assisted me in uploading my Avatar image-The ancient and noble flag of the Kingdom of Northumbria. This flag is mentioned in the 7th century writings of the 'venerable' Bede, who has been described as 'The Father of English History'.As I said to Kathy,NO,I'm NOT old enough to have known Bede personally!

Had to go to the coat of arms.... The Rattray clan goes back (at least in recorded history) to the thirteenth century. Craighall castle is still there in perthshire and the head of the clan still lives there. 8)

My avatar is a close-up of the custom soundhole rosette of my hammered dulcimer, a James Jones 3/16/18/9 with redwood soundboard and paduak bridges, built in 2002. The birch leaf design is from a tracing of a leaf that fell from a tree that grows next to my house. The whistle is a Feadog D.

I'd like to thank my 12-year-old son for technical assistance in taking this photo. I don't have a digital camera, but he used part of the Vision Command system in his Lego Robotics set to take the picture for me. :)

This is the eltic knot that is on the cover of the King Crimson album Discipline. Actually thought about getting it tattooed on my back shoulder.

Changed it again, pic once again ten years after the last one, 1999 this time. Actually this one is to tickle the gizmo driven pipers. The pic was taken by Leo Rickard and the pipes are a 1780s Kenna concert pitch set with one regulator [baritone] and a fourth [A] drone. And it was going well too.

So, Sam, you gonna draw me one? Pweeeze??

Something, you know, dignified. :o
I'll draw ye one. How about a nice terrapin?
Walden- I know you weren't talking to me, but a Terrapin is an excellent idea, in my opinion- I'm a University of Maryland grad.

All the Best, Tom

Tell us something.: Been a fluter, citternist, and uilleann piper; committed now to the way of the harp.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

I am not as large, and don't have white fur, but I have the same first name. (Check out "Sherman's Lagoon" if you don't know the character.)

OK, let's try this out. If it works, all credit goes to Walden. Thanks Walden.
