Happy Apocalypto!

Post by MTGuru »

Thanks everyone, it's been realz. Happy whistling to all, and thanks for all the fish.

I frighten you.
You should all be afraid.
You, the wicked.
Would you like to know how you will die?
The sacred time is approaching.
Hide from the darkness of the day.
Beware the man who carries a jaguar.
Consider him reborn from the clay and the earth.
For he who carries you will condemn the sky
and destroy the earth.
He will destroy you.
And he will consume your world.
He is with us now.
Day will become night.
And the jaguar-man
will lead you to your end.

Happy Apocalypto indeed!
Thanks for the reminder, it would have been a bummer if I missed it.

Tell us something.: Been a fluter, citternist, and uilleann piper; committed now to the way of the harp.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

Doing a couple of 45-min dance and performance sets at a year's end party tonite. We will be touting ourselves as the End of the World Cèilidh Band. If everything goes out with a *blip* after the last note, that would be just the coolest finale ever, right? But on the other hand, we'd never know it, would we. Sigh.

C'mon, people: freak out like you mean it.

I must say, it's been a disappointing apocalypse so far. No sign of the Jaguar-Man, only the Post-Man with a pile of junk mail which just may be a sign of the end times.

OTOH, our neighbor's caregiver, who happens to be Mexican-American, did bring over a nice Christmas poinsettia - which, as everyone knows, is a plant native to the Mayan heartland of Mexico and Guatemala. Coincidence? I think not.

On the upside, mystics are now saying that it's not really the end of our old world, but the start of our new one. Some predict we'll experience a restoration of the powers of our ancient ancestors, such as telepathic communication and the ability to levitate objects. Now let's see, could those things be at all handy?

Damnit MT - we worked really hard on this one!

We thought we had it nailed with all the alternatives, but .. ah well, i think Kafka had the right of it - the bullets arrive at their own time despite the imagination ..

I'm working on a new improved cataclysm - It's called the finger of RA. And, like all good doomsday theories, it has a long list of distinguished pseudo scientists to back it up.

If we get it right - it will have fins, like the old Caddies .. i miss fins . ANd I really liked the nose-cone on teh Studebaker. SO .. how does this sound:

All new improved apocalypse!
Now with fins and nose-cone!

Wheel-arches extra, and, for only a little more -> that wheel-within-wheel look for the devout apocolyptoid!
