Wow! That is very impressive Jerry! Congratulations!

So which whistle is getting the bulk of your orders these days, if that's not too personal of a question?

Re: 339 whistles ...
Lots of tweaked Generations, mostly in D, Bb and low G (including a fair number of Generation sets of the six whistles from high G down to Bb), lots of Mellow Dogs and Mellow Dog D/C sets, lots of Blackbirds and Bluebirds, mostly in D, lots of tweaked two-piece Clare D pocket whistles.
I'm working on prototypes for a quiet D whistle. If this produces a good instrument, I'll be introducing the Freeman quiet whistle next.
And it looks like I have a partner in China, well placed in the Irish music community there, who will be importing my whistles for the Chinese market.
Best wishes,
Jerry

- Tell us something.: I play high and low whistle with Traditional Irish Music being my focus of interest. I love Irish music and consider it as a direct connection to my Irish heritage. I enjoy participation in whistle tours, chatting with other players, and learning much from the many talented folks that frequent C & F.

Jerry,
Very glad to see the success you are realizing from all of your research and development, and hard work. You are not the Master of tweaking by chance! You certainly are a true resource to whistle players throughout the world. Keep up the great work! Hardly a day goes by that I don't play my Blackbirds, Bluebirds, and my Freeman Tweaked Gens in F, Bb, and low G.
I am sure there will be one of those two piece Clare whistles in my future. Always nice to know that "Tweakdom Central" is just twenty minutes away.
Best Regards,
Cayden

Re: 339 whistles ...
Hi Jerry,
i read somewhere that the world whistle market was in the order of 1,000,000 units per year. If you can leave 1% of that for me, that would be fine.
cheers, Erle.

Nice work Jerry. I guess that's what happens when you make an awesome product and stand behind it. I have quite a few of your whistles and have given some away for others to enjoy too. The low A that I recently got from you is just great. That quiet whistle sounds interesting, I'll probably be needing one of those when they become available.

For what it's worth, I sold off my high-end whistles, and my only high D is your Bluebird now.

I sat next to someone with one of your whistles at a class recently and it sounded absolutely gorgeous
Finally feel like I'm getting somewhere. It's only taken 6 years.

Re: 339 whistles ...
Notwithstanding that Jerry's Bluebird is among the finest and best value whistles on the planet, I'm thinking there will always be a market for such as yourself as well Erle.syn whistles wrote:Hi Jerry,
