I am selling here a beatiful 6 keyed dogwood pratten model made by John Gallagher.
Excellent condition, headpiece is lined with sterling silver, key blocks are lined with sterling, wide silver bands.
This flute has been my workhorse for the last three or four years (it was made in 2009), it plays wonderfully and effortlessly all throughout the range. Lovely big round tone. As reccomended by the maker I also sent the flute back to him after a year for a complete overhaul. John wants to re ream the bores of his flutes to the original dimensions once the wood as settled and the instrument is played in.
I recently sold the flute to a professional Boehm flute player here in Italy, who bought it on a whim, but discovered after a month or so that the Irish wooden flute is not really his cup of tea. I am helping him out with the sale now..

Asking price is eur 1700 firm (equivalent to $2239 at today's exchange). Payment by bank transfer. Buyers pays shipping.
The flute when new costed me $ 3095 (including all the extra sterling silver parts), so i believe this is quite a deal.
