A friend of mine has ILNPIPR.

I get the square root of -1 (i), natural logarithm (ln), and pi ... but I'm just not sure about the "pr".

My Chesapeake Bay plate was Qajaq. When I discovered the state wasn't really using the extra bucks from the Bay plate for Bay preservation as they said they would I sunk it. I rarely saw the light of recognition in my rear view at a stop light although everybody laughed at the "Dole is 96" bumper sticker.

In the UK there is or was a woman, I *think* her name was Fiona MacKenzie, who used to work for the Magazine Penthouse.
Her car had the numberplate PEN fifteen.

I saw that numberplate once. It was on a black BMW. I didn't see the driver. Somewhere in Surrey IIRC. The Dorking/Reigate area.

That sounds about right. I saw it myself once, in Berks or Bucks.

My niece has recently moved to Dubai where she is newly employed as a flight attendant for Emirates Air. She says that in Dubai, license plates are assigned hierarchically, with the King getting 1, and so on down the line to regular people. So she and her friends were quite excited one day at the beach when they saw a car with tag 70-something. They assumed someone in the royal family must be nearby.

Indiana currently has two standard (no extra fee) plates that you can select. One plate has "In God We Trust", and the other plate has a state symbol instead of the inscription. They are not vanity plates, but they do tend to divide people into rather obvious groups. So, when I am following someone that is obviously talking on the cell phone, weaving over the driving lane, and is displaying a "In God We Trust" license plate, I am alerted that I need to be extra careful.

Personally, I don't like them. It should be an identification number. I wonder what is next, driver's licenses?

Take it.

I'll leave it.

In West Virginia, the numbers 1-100 are at the whim of the current Governor. Get a new Governor, lose your license plate, unless of course, you're a big contributor.
