Greetings from DaleForce One

Post by Dale »

Beautiful upgrade, Rich!

This is the longest spell of inactivity in Chiff & Fipple I've been through since starting the whole thing eight years ago. I'm determined to get an issue out this weekend.

I was overwhelmed by the response to my post about my mother-in-law's death. Unbelievable. Thanks to all!

I am back at work. Missed about 10 days as Alice was at her most ill and then in taking care of funeral and burial and so on. Alice was buried in Jefferson City, Missouri. Marilyn & I nearly got stranded by heavy snowfall at St. Louis airport. I felt bad about all of the commercial jets having to wait on DaleForce One's preparations for departure. We requested the Deluxe De-Icing and, as you know, it takes a bit longer. Plus, some of the goat cheese they had put on the plane was, well, unacceptable and had to be replaced. When I ask for Garrotxa. that's what I want. NOT a second-rate Cabra de Vino.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi.

Oh, Brian Howard donated four new "color" Low Ds for charity fund-raising. I've got them here at HQ and will be thinking about how to proceed.

Peace.

Really.

Dale

It's good to have you back Dale. Terrible about that goatcheese. It was probably just too runny to serve. I'll bet the cat lapped it up or something. :D

Hi Dale.

Sorry, but in your absence we had to rip out the mauve upholstery. But about the goat cheese: Well, it won't happen again.

Dale,
Is goat cheese, like, a psychologist thing? I ask because one of the psychologists that works for the county where I work often brings homemade goat cheese to the office to share (Apparently he raises goats).

Just curious,

Beth

Hey Dale, good to see you back! I'm terribly sorry, but I had to vote for 2nd rate, 'cause after all, any goat cheese is better than no goat cheese!

Good to hear from ya Dale.
Light spills into the hidden valley,
Illuminating the falls, paths, and
The breathtaking Elvish dwelling
Set back among great trees.
Lilting strains of Elven songs fill my heart;
I am finally home.

Hi Dale! Welcome back! Hey, You know I gotta vote for cows milk cheese. Especially the the kind from Jersey milk. Not New Jersey, but Pennsylvania Jersey's  Even though that wasn't one of the choices. It's definately the best! :D Although, I have eaten goat cheese and it is pretty good too. :)

Cheers,
Kathy :)

I'm sorry Dale, but your poll lacks depth... everyone knows that Mazithra is the ONLY way to go in goat cheese.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

I voted for Garrotxa for no other reason than an ongoing attraction for things Basque. But that smell---is something going 'feta'-ed here?

Welcome back, Dale.
