Here's my band, Barrowburn performing back in 2009.
Wow, it's been awhile since we recorded that concert.
I guess we need to set up a camera more often. I'm the
one in the middle on the mandolin and whistle.

Here's a video of my S1 pupils (11- and 12-year-olds) playing their own 'junk music' for a cross-curricular eco project three years ago...

If you type in Celtic Rabble you'll see my left elbow, but don't bother, it's a terrible video. So much for my 15 minutes of fame. J.

I've got quite a few.

Some are demos I've made, such as of the "building block" approach to variation in Irish jigs and reels

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6fmINqse5Y

and several Doublepipe videos

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4lw8-3Jf9w

and Low D Whistle demos

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkL06uOtZQc

Most of the stuff is random performances and gigs which someone happened to film and put up there, which I found out about later.

the Battlestar Galactica gig

Sometimes studio work ends up on YouTube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ScQk58SXN8 (different video but better sound quality)

And even a movie appearance! I'm at 6:38, my split-second of fame

While I've seen your low D comparison before (possibly a while back since your username didn't click at the time) and have also just enjoyed your 'Earl's Chair' demo, I'm absolutely fascinated by the double pipes videos and now wanting a set! Nearest thing I've seen before is a set of small pipes with chanter and drone as a double bore in one piece of wood made, I think, by a piper called Ian MacGregor from a well-known travelling family (nearly ordered a set once, but bought an accordion instead!), but that still doesn't do harmonies like yours...

Here's the thread on those pipes

viewtopic.php?f=19&t=75297

I cobbled them together. They're a joy to play. The trick is finding the right tune! Tunes where you can do harmony things with the lower hand while the melody is on the upper hand. I've tried Amazing Grace and I can't find anything that works well with that tune.

You should make one! Just two practice chanters. But the two reeds must be exactly matched in strength, pitch, volume, and timbre for the thing to play seamlessly and be forgiving as per blowing.

Here is mine. Right now it is all native american flute and anasazi stuff. None of them are even near exceptional but I like sharing music and only been playing for any sort of music for a year or two and I really don't know much of anything about music.

No Irish whistle stuff yet as I have only started to learn how to play 'concerning hobbits' and the titanic song lol. I am working on learning to play 'Immigrants Daughter' on the whistle but I will probably be too afraid to post that on youtube also because I'm afraid I would be torn to pieces by 'real' tin whistle players lol.

Reminds me to ask, is it ok to post here in the forum sound cloud samples of some of my learning progress of the tin whistle to get constructive criticism?

You played on that? I love that tune... and that version.
I'm pretty sure that was the first tune I ever learned on a whistle ...because it had to be.
