Nice playing (despite the mistakes) and nice tone on that Morvan flute, a lot better than on the Sweetheart. Well, you recorded the other two videos two years ago, you've probably also improved your blowing.

Beautiful playing Markus.
I made this video for WJC today as I'm sending this flute to him as part of a trade and wanted to have one last go.
The flute is not warmed up and neither am I but I really am going to miss this flute.

Er.... Sounds like the code of the page and your browser are having a bit of a row. I usually don't let those bother me too much. Come to think of it, it's been a while since I last saw one of those error messages. If the page works all right, it shouldn't be a problem really. Just means there's something in the code that doesn't quite tickle your browser's fancy.

Ah I should have said that the soundcloud page opens but it does not have anything mentioning your (or anyone else's) recordings ie it has no link to click on.
I had a listen to you links on your signature myspace page instead. Very well played thanks for sharing. If anyone can help with sorting the soundcloud that would be a ray of sun too.

Markus
Thanks for the help. The link didn't work but I noticed it gave a 'mobile soundcloud' page. By taking out the 'm.' at the start of the link it worked!!

ie this works for me :

http://soundcloud.com/markus-asunta/jam ... -the-shelf

the soundclouds have cleared and the sun has come.

Hope this helps anyone else who had this problem or maybe my pc is older that other peoples or something.

Fine playing with a strong northern feel I think.

I also listened to the shaskeen & copperplate, I liked your Shaskeen best in this set, very good. Some nice variations in it.

I thought that was a bulging torso in the small photo of you, something like superman, or Mick Flatley?, when I clicked on it to enlarge the photo I saw it was a wooley jumper, much more traditional, but the original photo looks very impressive. How about it for the stage show?

Really great stuff Markus. Enjoyed it very much, especially the march. Cool tune and very strong playing with a northern influence. I have to learn this one. Where is it from?
I'll record something in a few minutes. Have to think about it.

Stef

Update: Minutes became hours.......but at last:

I've just recorded a couple of tunes.
The first one is a set of two polskas I've learned from the great CD of Andreas Ralsgard and Markus Tullberg:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/45560466/Polskas.MP3

The second one is a slow air and two hornpipes.
The slow air is called 'An Charraig Aonair' wich means 'The Lone Rock'. The hornpipes are 'The Old Blackbird' and 'Dunphy's Hornpipe':
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/45560466/Slow%2 ... npipes.MP3

I play them on my blackwood flute made by Michael Cronnolly. Actually I am a whistle player but I've started to play about a year ago.
Tell me what you think.

Cheers,
Stef

Gian Marco Pietrasanta from Genova, Italy sent me a note that he had recorded the following video playing my low D flute that he just received in the mail.

Very nicely played Stef. Nice tone and every thing else. The second polka sounds like fun and is very different. Is that you double tracking on it? The hornpipes were well played I think, with a good hornpipe timing. Nice to listen to and dance to. Hope you get some more comments.
