Tell us something.: I am interested in the uilleann pipes and their typical -and broader- use. I have been composing and arranging for the instrument lately. I enjoy unusual harmonic combinations on the pipes. I use the pipes to play music of other cultures.

If you're going to buy something, I say why not go for the real thing?

With 4 reeds! And that tube/bocal is a real enema - I mean, enigma.

Proctology aside ...

Forget for a moment that it's supposed to be an uilleann whistle. Call it a Proctophone, or whatever. It pops up now and then. So has anyone actually played one? Does it work at all as an instrument on its own terms, or is it a complete chimera?

lol.. Ooh my... I don't know what that is, but I think I'm tired enough right now that I really want one. that way when I'm sitting around and telling stories about stuff I've seen I can pull that POS out and show everybody.. actually it makes me want to try and build something.. I love that it comes with a slide whistle. that's sweet. it also needs a Kazoo and a whoopie cushion.. (TM)... (so you don't steal my idea...... now I need to start designing and even build a case..

Cool but why pay 145 USD? Should be easy enough to build by modifying a Bb tin whistle, plug the holes & drill 7 new holes, get tubing (fuel line) from an auto parts store and you're ready to rock!!

But guys, IT HAS A THUMB REST.
Such attention to detail bodes well for the overall playability and sound design, wouldn't you say?

I'll go out on a limb and guess that's a genuine Susato thumb rest.
