Just went trough quite big heartoperation.....(whole chest sawed etc etc.)Anybody else been same situtation?How long it took to play pipes again?Good luck I can play little tinwhistle and my electric GHB...

You've presumably got your sternum held together with staples and it'll take a few weeks for that to knit. Pumping and squeezing wouldn't be a good idea until then.

I suppose it depends strongly on the setup (and the pressure-tightness) of your set. Anyway: Gute Besserung!

Had that 3 months ago.I was playing again in 6 weeks.Careful what you do and nothing strenuous.

I'd say just worry about recovering and get back on your feet, the pipes will always be there :wink:

My good friend is a cardiothoracic surgeon and she tells me that it's 8 weeks min
