Dear Bobdunsire Folks,
In this newsletter you will find information about PEI Fiddle Camp, our new instructors, and our changes from last year!
For those of you that haven't been to our camp, fiddle camp is a wonderful environment to enjoy traditional music and dance. There are 5 days of instruction and 6 nights of concerts, dances, and jam sessions at the beach!
By the way...we'll feed you and give you a bed...all you need to do is play and have fun!
Three things you need to know about fiddle camp...
1. It's not just fiddles - there are a dozen instruments being taught as well as dancing!
2. It's not just for kids - camp is geared for people of all ages, families are welcome, and we have a great mix of ages!
3. It's for advanced & beginner players & dancers - you don't have to be an expert to come to camp...camp is where you learn, and if you are an expert, you will find new tunes, styles, and challenges from our 11 instructors!
There is A LOT going on at fiddle camp...more than a newsletter can contain, so we encourage you to visit our website for complete information:

Andrea Beaton & Iain MacInnes added to
2011 Teaching Roster
We are thrilled to have Andrea Beaton joining us this year to provide instruction in Cape Breton fiddle. She'll also be drivin'er at the dances in the evening, so dust off you dancing shoes!
We are very pleased to have Iain MacInnes on staff full time this year providing instruction in Uilleann pipes, smallpipes, and whistle.

A Few New Things for 2011
An Afternoon Off
Based on the excellent feedback we received last year, we've adapted our schedule to include an afternoon off so campers can take advantage of the beach, the trails, the practice time or whatever you fancy!
Come For The Day...Stay For The week?
If thinking about camp makes you excited, but your not 100% sure it's for you (or perhaps your work schedule won't cooperate with a full week at camp), you can try camp for a day! Daily attendance is being offered, and if you get here and decide you can't leave...you can upgrade to the week!
Camp Tunes
We're also going to have Camp Tunes! Each morning we will all come together to select a tune that everyone will have the chance to learn that day...fiddlers, pipers, accordion players, accompanists, even dancers...and at the end of the day, we'll all play together!
Jam at the picnic tables
All together now...a one, and a two, and a...
If you've read this far, we hope you are considering coming to camp yourself, or perhaps you know someone else that should be experiencing the wonders at fiddle camp.
Please help us spread the word by recommending us to your friends! Thank you!
Hope to see you in June,
PEI Fiddle Camp Team

For the non-Canadians, PEI is Prince Edward Island. I didn't know this either.

Sorry, yes, Prince Edward Island. East Coast of Canada. One of the Provinces.
