Have you considered stopping with the whistles and starting on another instrument? Whistles are a gateway instrument. Ocarinas are fun.

No new flowers, no pollen, no honey, no fruits of the earth. Where would we bee then?

I've been playing the whistle a grand total of about 2 weeks now and I've already got 3.

Do you mean it's just going to get worse??
Stealing ideas from one source is called plagiarism. Stealing from several is called research.

Check out my band, Winter's Verge. Not for the faint-hearted.

I'm about 18 months in and I've got around 20 ...and that doesn't count the half dozen or so I've sold off. But I wouldn't characterize that as "worse." It's always fun and exciting to get a new whistle even if it doesn't suit you since that means you'll be selling it and trying yet another whistle ...and another whistle ...and another whistle ...and another whistle.

Yeah, it happens that way sometimes. :D

You did read Dale's warning before you got started. Right?

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

for us to exist, perhaps. But, for us to love and live? The bee must partake of the flower to propagate the fruit.

This banter is educational for me. I'm only a small shove away from a second whistle - and it's not because my playing skills are that magnificent!

I have about a hundred whistles in various keys, the greatest % being high D. For the last 2 years, I reach for the same whistle every time - sterling/brass/delrin Sindt. When I travel, I take my green delrin Busman. I feel only joy and no regret at my collection.
