Tell us something.: Some of my original tunes are displayed at https://thesession.org/members/49476
I play several flutes, many whistles, many guitars, bouzouki, banjo, and own way too many pedals.
I could open a music store if I didn't live in the back woods of Pennsylvania.

Just a heads up:
The Low D arrived in the states, and the tour should begin pretty soon. I have both now and will ship out as soon as Yuri blows the starting whistle.

Right. The American leg is officially started. The route will be this, based on my spending some time staring at the map of the USA.:
brewerpaul (NY)
wanderer (VA)
Thomaston (AL)
osage59 (IL)
cboody (MN)
ted (CA)

If there is anyone en route that still wants to be part of it, be quick.

Rigt, fifenwhistle (CO) is inserted between cboody and ted. (Sorry, ted, it's the logistics of it.)

Oh bu**er! Have today received Customs and Handling charge demand - Parcel Force won't deliver without payment. I was afraid of this, but hoped Yuri's whistles wouldn't get caught..... Time to consult (pm coming, Yuri).

Got the whistles today, thanks Paul! They arrived in good condition, and I've taken them around the block once or twice.

Should I post first impressions here? What's the etiquette on this tour? I know some makers prefer one way and others another.

The etiquette is whatever you make it. Flexismart has posted a new thread under "YT whistles", that's the one for reviews.
And don't hesitate to say not-so-nice impressions if you have that. After all, don't forget that I do not actually play the whistles as my main instrument, so what I'm after is a bunch of real players giving real opinions, not yes-men opinions.

Don't worry about yes-man opinions from me. I've upset a maker or two in the past with my frank opinions. ;)

I played the high D for a couple of hours today, and I'll post some initial impressions tomorrow

British tour whistles passed from me to Ben (benhall1) when I visited him last Monday. Full review including photos and video clips forthcoming from me as soon as I can get it written up.
