grocery store question

Post by mutepointe »

None of my real life friends could answer this question. Now it's up to you folks. The local Kroger's sells $20 bags of carrots. Lots of them are on display. As large a portion of the display is devoted to these bags of carrots as to 1 pound and 3 pound bags of carrots and those pitiful carrots used for veggie trays. What need would someone have for so many carrots all at once?

Thanks. We got both type of people here and I noticed the arrival of the big bags of carrots about the same time that one of the clerks pointed out to me that all the new shelf space devoted to vegetarian items was because the vegans had been asking and asking.

the carrots are just a bit less esthetically pleasing

the horses don't care what the carrot looks like and they are a great training aid

Great for teething puppies and training dog also. Of course they look pretty much the same when you scoop the yard so they must go straight through.

Us Veggies do go through a lot of carrots. If the kids ate vegetables then one of those $20 bags would probably do us for a couple of weeks or so.

I think it's juice people. Watch for grocery store patrons with orangey-yellow skin.

My little Aspie was more into broccoli. When she was about a year old, we'd go to the supermarket, and as soon as we hit the produce department, she'd be yelling "BROK-lee! BROK-lee!" I'd have to weigh out a head and give it to her to munch before going anywhere else in the store.

Come to think of it, she still gets all worked up about broccoli...

Good - they can keep him there, too.

Carrots keep just fine if you stop 'em drying out or sprouting in the fridge, so there's no reason not to buy in bulk if the price is right.
And now there was no doubt that the trees were really moving - moving in and out through one another as if in a complicated country dance. ('And I suppose,' thought Lucy, 'when trees dance, it must be a very, very country dance indeed.')

Tell us something.: I'm a fiddler and, latterly, a fluter. I love the flute. I wish I'd always played it. I love the whistle as well. I'm blessed in having really lovely instruments for all of my musical interests.
