I know you won't believe this but it's just the small bodied, mahogany topped Martin, his selection of strings and his picking technique close to the bridge with finger picks. I have no idea what, if anything, was engaged on his pedal board while that video was recorded. He plays banjo so he uses percussive Scruggs style picking techniques. I don't think it's V-guitar - no Roland pickup - or a Line6 processor. Check out the second half of this video and see what you hear What do you think?

Well, I thought that it might be technique and the slide
so before I asked the question, I watched your video as
well as others like this one:

and his guitar doesn't seem to have the same banjo
twang on the high strings as in "Runnin' Down a Dream".
Of course, it could also be compression artifacts, I guess.
