We have two Border Terriers that seem to like my playing :-?
They usually sit next to me once I been playing for 5mins or so.
Probably just bored with their bones :P
Happiness is taking things as they are.

Our cats are pretty much indifferent to anything I play. I am more likely to meet opposition from my wife and daughter. :D

The cats are mostly interested in "persuading" me to give them my attention :poke:

Neither of our cats is impressed with my whistle or recorder playing - both leave the room when I pick up an instrument. I've told this next story in another thread but it bears telling again: I was busking one evening at a downtown event when a couple walked up with a small collie. They listened for a bit then I noticed the dog was moving her mouth and prancing around like she was trying to sing and dance to the music. The couple said they'd never seen the dog do that before. Guess I missed a chance to have a really cute singing dog act.

What would a wild walrus whistle if a walrus could whistle wild?

The second mouse may get the cheese but the presentation leaves a lot to be desired.

My cat leaves the room when I play my violin. But then again....everyone leaves the room when I play my violin.

You're right MT, our musical skill sets would mesh nicely. Do you have contact information on this gentleman?

I'm practicing several times a day because I simply can't help myself, and I thought I was making pretty decent progress. My cats, however, seem to disagree. I really have no way of knowing if I'm in tune or not, because all my playing is masked by three cats howling.

I'm starting to develop a complex--in addition to overly critical cats, my husband bought himself a set of noise-canceling headphones recently.
Sheesh.

Best way to find out is to record yourself playing, and listen to it. Always takes me down a peg or two...... :sniffle:

Yes, if Savannah begins howling and meowling when she hears her own playing, then there's definitely a problem.

Ahh, that's a cat, all right. Absolutely disgusted with humans. :)

My cat really does not care if I am alive or not as long as her dish is full and her box is empty. But as I was trying out my new Susato ( that I just received from another member of C and F) said cat jumped up and snuggled on my lap. She doesnt do that when I play my Freeman tweaked Mellow Dog ( sorry Jerry, I guess it's a cat thing).
It's kind of is freaking me out.

You should know that Jerry is more into mice...

Best wishes.
