Then you better think of something sneaky and selfish to make that not happen Doug.

lol i tried that once. it hurts! you have to consider the rain drops are hitting you at 75 mph... it feels like bbs from a bb gun or something. imagine being shot by a bb gun over and over... i pulled over. :)

A few years ago I rode from Pittsburgh to The Colorado Rockies and back. On the way out I rode through 160 miles of rain in Iowa and Nebraska. I had a windshield and helmet so no pain in the face. On the way back it was over 100 degrees all three days of the trip. I still had a windshield and helmet. I think I lost about 8 pounds. I drank water and Gatorade like there was no tomorrow. Colorado was nice though.

Cheers,

Mate, you're 100% correct. Only a moderator can order you to leave.
Therefore , if someone else tells you to leave it is NOT an ORDER, see?

No, just a pure, rude, presumptuous provocation itching for a sharp reply.

"Fluter-bikers? Aaaargh! That's enough to scare anyone off! One insane (and generally non-life-threatening) obsession is enough for me! " jemtheflute.

I understand Jem, but in for a penny, in for a pound as they say - I ride too, but only March/April through to November as the winter ice & snow gets really heavy over here, plus my bike (bobbed softail springer) weighs in at nearly 300 kilos - loud pipes save lives - it's dangerous, yes but also great fun

Lightweight. ;) 2000cc Vulcan - weighs in at about 350 kilos. It's the "Bb Grinter of cruisers". :) If I run off the road they can just bury me in the fuel tank.

:o now that is indeed a big machine to honk - I'm short, and have small hands - my springer softail is lowered and bobbed, more of a keyless Murray I'd say - try not to run out of road Kirk :) Here I have to watch out for wild boar and deer

If you're leaving, leaving on a motorcycle is one way to go.

There ... Now this thread is back on topic.

Tell us something.: I'm a fiddler and, latterly, a fluter. I love the flute. I wish I'd always played it. I love the whistle as well. I'm blessed in having really lovely instruments for all of my musical interests.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

Order someone to leave? Seriously, if it gets that far why should I waste my breath when I have a button?

Man. You should see all the spammers we show the door. They don't stay gone because I order 'em to. D'you think they'd listen if I ordered them to get lost? Hell, no. And nor would anyone else if they didn't want to.

Ordering, shmordering. That's for people who like to hear the sound of their own imperious voices. Or keystrokes, as the case may be.
