Hello there,

I just purchased a Susato Kildare Soprano D VSB whistle from one of the online retailers in the links section. I am looking forward to getting it and joining the community finally . I had a novelty whistle for a while that my parents brought back from Hawaii. I learned to play a little on it but the intonation was so poor (no matter my embouchure or air level) I stopped. Hopefully now that I am getting a properly made whistle I will have a very enjoyable experience.

so, just thought i'd say hi and that i'm looking forward to becoming a part of this fantastic whistler community.

Welcome. I've not tried one, but it's my understanding that Mike Susato makes them pretty well in tune.

Mike Susato?!
Mike Walton does, too.

PS. Mike Kelischek makes Susatos. He was going to call them Kelischeks, but he prefers credit cards.

Actually, I wasn't there. I was over at the Kennedy compound.

Welcome aboard.

If Walton makes Susato, does it follow that Susato makes Walton?

Welcome Damien,

You might be able to tweek that novelty whistle into sounding pretty good. Just do a search on "tweeking". Some of the worst whistles have been made to be some of the best just by using a little sticky tack. It can keep you company until your VSB arrives.
Good Luck and enjoy the C&F family.

Welcome, Damien (French name, this ?).
Don't count on me for the wealth of information. I only feed on it. And stout. And garlic.

Damien, even though that name sometimes sends chills up and down my spine (what was the name of that movie in which "Damien" was the name of the little "evil" one?), it's always great to have another succomb to the powers of C&F!! Welcome, enjoy, and don't be a stranger!!!
