Thanks, Fel! It's a privilege to host, and it's nice to keep the LA-SD exchanges going. :-)

Hi,
I am new here and see that these sessions are current and ongoing in which I would love to join in. If for some reason one is canceled, do you post it here, online or somewhere else?
Hope to meet you all in person.
Thanks,
Pearlo

I have been to The Blarney Stone on several occasions and to O'Sullivan's a couple times.
Both are great locations if you get a chance to make it to SD and are not from the area
I highly recommend checking them out. Great beers to go with music!
thats a fancy hat you have there!

Tell us something.: I have been learning the whistle in order to play morris tunes, and I had heard this forum was good for getting info on whistles, and also buying and trading whistles

Tell us something.: My name is Elaine and I'm interested in playing flute. I've just begun learning Irish flute and hoped to join the Chiff and Fipple forums to seek advice from more experienced players on techniques, recommended learning materials, upcoming trad music events in my area, and to potentially find a local teacher. The forum seems like it would be a very helpful online community for beginners like myself.

It's really great that you took the time to update the list with the new session at House of Ireland. Sessions are such a nice way to enjoy traditional music and meet fellow players. Have you been to that one yet? It's nice that they have a beginner option - I'm sure that's helpful for people wanting to learn.
