I did a round of the Ennistymon book fair this morning. Among the new books I spotted 'On the night' by Philip Duffy, a massive volume about the ceilibands that took All Irelands over the years. Apparently it was launched during the recent fleadh in Mullingar.

A quick leaf-thtough revealed it is mostly a compendium of biographies of all players involved but there are also nice old photos. It is not really for me but if you're into that sort of thing: competitions, bands feadhanna, comhaltas and all that, it will possibly float your boat.

There is a website for it : On the night Shop copies were 50 euro but at the size, postage will add seriously to the cost.
