There's a bit of activity related to to the 50th Aniversary of Seán O'Riada, today. Some of it may be of interest here.
RTE orgnised a series of concerts of O'Riada's music, featuring some original members of Ceoltóirí Chualann, Seán Keane, Mick Tubridy, Sean O Sé as well as musicians related to original members, Peadar O'Riada, John Kelly Junior, Seán Og Potts for example but also Mick O Brien, Eamonn McGivney, Kevin Glackin and others.

A lot can be said about O'Riada but he was who he was and that's maybe for another time. There's always the risk, as I suffered, of getting earwormed for days by a French horn playing Roisín Dubh. Be warned.
