I'm very sorry to hear that sad news. I met Sean on several occasions, usually in the company of Desi Wilkinson at "Cran" gigs. I've posted a couple of songs by Sean, one from the "Cran" first recording, and one recording I made myself when "Cran" played at Aberdeen Folk Club in 1987. Sean could sing the "heavy" ballads as well as anyone, but these are 2 comical songs which matched his personality, I think. We used to occasionally bump into each other at the Willie Clancy week, and I'm sad to think that that will never happen again. My condolences to his family and many, many friends. RIP.

Tell us something.: Been a fluter, citternist, and uilleann piper; committed now to the way of the harp.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

He was a big reason why Cran has been one of my favorite bands. RIP, Seán.

In memory of, TG4 is repeating Corcoran's tv programmes on the great collectors of music, Na Bailitheoirí Ceoil. First one today, Sunday, two more to follow.

If you're into that sort of thing, well worth the watch.
