Looking for a copy of They'll Be Good Yet : Kitty Hayes, Peter Laban if anyone wants to sell. It's a long shot but worked when I requested a copy of the Touhey book a few months ago.

Send me a PM

By the way I mean the original cd (not illegal copy) in case there is any confusion. The guy who sold me the Touhey book hadn't looked at it in 15 years.

The is a link to Peter's "They'll Be Good Yet" page on Uilleann Obsession, http://www.theyllbegoodyet.com/ but it's all Japanese now, so you probably have to search other online CD outlets such as Celtic Groove

The website came down when the CD sold out five years ago. The domain was not renewed. The CD has sold out completely from the commercial outlets that stocked it, don't waste your time looking for it there.

Yes, I know it's sold out. No copies tucked away there Peter? You never know who may have bought it then moved on.

Not sure Philippe is still in business. I'll email him and report back.

He sold his last copy six years ago. Believe me, they are sold out everywhere.

How to Sell Music on Amazon | Sell MP3s on Amazon | CD Baby. Their arrangement apparently works for other venues as well - iTunes etc. Didn't realize that. Of course until Patrick asked about this it probably wasn't much of a concern. It might bring in the odd buck. Was the CD distributed by a label per se, or did you do it on your own, Peter?

More and more these days I look up some odd bit of out-of-print music like Johnny Keenan/Sully Sullivan's "Dublin Banjos" thinking it's long gone from shelves or only available once in a blue moon for lots of money at eBay, only to discover someone has it up at Amazon or iTunes as MP3s. So there's a way to get it back for sale without mucking about with pressing plants or whatever they're called now. Good luck with the liner notes though. I'd just scan those and make them available for the public at large to view.

You know, when we launched the CD I had several e-mails from people I didn't know shouting at me because it wasn't available as download. I told them sorry but that's the way it was. and shouting wasn't going to help anyway.

Having boxes containing a few thousand CDs standing in a corner of the room is a bit daunting (but a great relief when they're gone) so at some point, when I had to decide to have another batch printed I decided to just leave it. That was around the time Kitty died and it seemed appropriate to call time on the CD at that point.

I have looked into download sites since, some people asked, but didn't feel the demand would make it worth the hassle.

I would also be very pleased to see it made available again in some form and would buy one like a shot. I love those Youtube videos!

I would also buy it as an mp3 download if that was the only way to obtain it.
