Anyone know of them? 2 pipers. They will be in NYC on Monday night at the Living Room.

They have some very nice sound. Check out some of their clips on YouTube. Two pipers and a singer/guitarist.

Wow, that's some playing! Enjoy the show. If I was in NY I'd be there for sure.

That band rocks! I ordered their CD last week. If we want more music from bands like this, we need to support them by buying their music and going to their events, which isn't hard to do when they sound this good!
Cheers!

Agreed!! Now, could you burn me a copy of that CD when it arrives?

Seriously though, who made Conor and Aaron's pipes?

Realta rule :) I got excited about them after I had first heard their demo recordings on the internet. My latest fave trad band definitely.

Aaron plays a chanter of his own make, the drones and regs are by Marcus Coulter. Conor plays pipes by Koehler and Quinn. Aaron maintains both of the boys' pipes and apparently reeds them too.

Good luck to the band if you happen to read this, keep up the great work!

I was fortunate to see and listen to Réalta at the William Kennedy International Piping Festival this year, 2012. The band was fabulous and the music was very tasteful and enjoyable to listen to. I definitely recommend their CD.

They were all together brilliant. Amazing piping. Just great lads too. Chatted it up a bit with them and Deirdre. Class people. I've never heard a slow air harmonized like that before. Epic!!

My copy of Open the Door for Three arrived yesterday. It's a very nice CD. A few songs but mostly instrumental tracks. The style of the songs remind me of "Dervish" and some of the instrumental tunes have a "Lunasa" vibe.

I find it difficult to mix low whistle and pipes on up-tempo tunes but these guys make it work.

It's probably not for the die-hard pipers but if you don't object violently to guitar accompaniment, you'll enjoy this CD.

I'd love to see them in concert.
