Tell us something.: Learning uilleann pipes, whistle, and occasional backing instruments. Just hacking away and slowly expanding repertoire.

Howard half set
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/334490651303 ... SwyNtivyg9

Can anyone confirm if this is genuine?
Headline information says item is in Sheffield, description says Bakewell, Derbyshire, which might suggest the description was cut and pasted from another listing.

Can't say if this is genuine but considering there's about 20 km or so between Bakewell and Sheffield and the seller says he is 'near Bakewell' they can actually be almost equidistant to Sheffield. Quite possibly just a matter of taking the nearest available on the location drop down menu and refining it in the description.

The Ebay address may be based on the seller's UK Postcode. Some places like Eyam and Curbar, where I was last year, have a Sheffield Postcode,

The reed on the left I would guess was made by davy, I had one of his reeds before. A great reed, very distinctive in that it had a really long staple with a very short head.

Tell us something.: I am a walrus, I am a tea pot. John Lennon said that but people see him as a guru. Well, tell, you what he also almost became a piper asking Paddy Keenan to teach him. (bleep) got bored & went on the sitar and the rest is history.
