I have been browsing on ebay for pipes, as is my wont, and for the last week there has been nothing worth posting here - everything on ebay UK/US/IE/AU is either Pakistani or the Bagpipes Galore practice set.
Is the credit crunch making people hold onto thier sets?

Seriously though, wait for the January credit card bill to arrive, then you'll start seeing all sorts of stuff on eBay.
Hi PJ
Yep, you are right, I don't need any more pipes (at least not after the C and C# chanters arrive). I am keeping an eye out for my whistle player. However if a nice deal comes up on a flat set, I will likely be all over it.
As to the January credit card bill effect -that got me the De Keyser set in Bb with added Van Daal chanter this year and the Charles Roberts B half set 2 years ago.

Tell us something.: Sets in D and B by Rogge and flute by Olwell, whistles by Burke and Goldie. I have been a member for a very long time here. Thanks for reading.
IMHO, E-bay is too much of a minefield for buying or selling pipes. I've had very good luck both buying and selling through Mr. D'Arcy's classified ads.

ANyone interested in a full set in D? Chanter made by Bruce Childress, full set made by Eugene Lamb and extra E reg by lynch. Needs reed work. Will sell set and chanter seperately if desired. I probably will list on the obsession board shortly. PM me for photos. Best offer.
Tell us something.: I am interested in the uilleann pipes and their typical -and broader- use. I have been composing and arranging for the instrument lately. I enjoy unusual harmonic combinations on the pipes. I use the pipes to play music of other cultures.

Ditto.
Double ditto. Plus, just for using Mr. D'Arcy's service, every Christmas you get a hamper full of potted meats and marmalade
