I'm curious bout the tonal, tuning, overall differences between kirk lynch and seth gallagher pipes. i've played several lynch chanters, but have not yet met up with a gallagher chanter. how do the two compare to each other?

I can't compare the different makers but I own a Gallagher C chanter and the original reed is soft in overall sound while my main reed (different design) is much louder. Both reeds sound completely different but tune about the same.
Kynch O'Kaine has a Gallagher D chanter that was reeded to play very loud. This was last year and he might be using a different reed now.
