Wilbert Garvin

Post by geoff wooff »

Reports have been posted on social media of the death of Wilbert Garvin. Today is his 85th birthday and I was looking forward to, hopefully, meeting him at the NPU Tional.
Many happy hours spent in Wilbert's company , he also contributed to our knowledge with several publications, a patron of NPU he will be sorely missed. RIP.

Sorry to hear that. He was a good man.

I should have a half decent image of him but can't find any right now. Here he is on the left though, in his element with friends, Ken and Finbar, talking reeds and putting the world to rights while at it. Some year in Bettystown it was, if I recall correctly.
