Congratulations to Peter.
And I hope ITMA will make the photo collections available for online viewing.

Re: Peter Laban - Photographer in residence with the ITMA
Thanks everybody for the good wishes. It was a bit ofa surprise when they asked, just before christmas, but I was assured I would be doing the same I have been doing, on and off in between procrastination and computercrashes, for some time already. It was nice being asked so I ran with it. It's a bit of encouragement entering into yet another lockdown.
Some galleries will go up on the iTMA site and theyt want a blog of sorts as well. Perhaps an exhibition eventually, in combination with work by future residents. But it's a new situation and we'll see how it develops, details are yet to be discussed.

My advice would be to get yourself an agent who understands the intricacies and nuances of negotiating a contract with the ITMA, I am throwing my hat into the arena, as I know where the bodies are buried and my rates are very reasonable.Mr.Gumby wrote:But it's a new situation and we'll see how it develops, details are yet to be discussed.
The ITMA or the interrogation, torture and mutilation association as some of my fellow agents like to call them can be rootless in their negotiations and you will need protection against the associations heavies who have been known to break fingers, which for a photographer wouldn't do at all. You have been warned.

Disregard my previous post, it's just the symptoms of my lockdown psychosis coming to the surface.Pipewort wrote: Do tell us more though.
