If it had' a na been for Davy I wouldn't have ever taken the pipes up, best River Dance piper ever!
Love his style of playing with a little reverb on the chanter and whistle to smooth it out, mind you he must be a terrific reed maker the way his reeds stand up to his fast playing, but there are a couple of other traditional pipers I like, Tommy Keane the Dusty Miller is a Magical piece of piping I love, from his CD The pipers a prone? but Davy is my favourite,,

Of course, the entire world heard him play the lament on Riverdance, but even without all that tech & orchestration, his air playing is stunning. The way he can slide into a note and his regulator work knocks me out.
