I find it a very useful thing to keep good working measurements for various reed designs... in the event that I forget certain specs (like, all of the time really), I have a handy quick reference to back up my aging data base.
Also, I rarely toss any reed out. It may work well in another chanter. Eventually, its components can also be recycled.
