First Hand Sewn Pipebag
I have handsewn my first pipebag, came out great except... It was airtight before I sewed it, and after sewing it it has a small leak.. You can barely hear it but it's there... I have not seasoned the bag yet, and I have never used leather pipebags before... Is it normal for a sewn bag to leak before it has been seasoned....

Not if it is done right. What material did you make the bag from?texasbagpiper wrote: Is it normal for a sewn bag to leak before it has been seasoned....

That's a pity. The heft of good leather is much more effective at driving the tone. If you keep up with your GHB playing, get a hide bag like an L&M, a Gannaway or a Begg. Properly maintained, these provide the right balance of moisture for your reeds.texasbagpiper wrote:...and I have never used leather pipebags before...
If you really need some kind of moisture controll device, Gannaway now makes zipper bags so you have the heft of leather but you can put your canister of dessicant inside.
