Rory,

Check out the uilleann section of clips-n-snips. No pictures, but Ken Ricketts plays a nice sounding Williams set in B.

Whose pipes?

I play a Concert D full set made for me by Charles Roberts, Sligo, in 1998. African blackwood, imitation ivory, and German nickel silver.

Cheers! Richard

'... bag by Uillium... ' ..... do you mean Mr. Hackett? Uilliam?

I was originally going to receive one of Chris's chanters for appraisal and critique.... however, his very busy list and very eager customers pushed Chris's promise to a recant.

I am anxious to read/hear opinions regarding his work.

Somebody, fill me in........ I do not mind PMs.

Tell us something.: I am interested in the uilleann pipes and their typical -and broader- use. I have been composing and arranging for the instrument lately. I enjoy unusual harmonic combinations on the pipes. I use the pipes to play music of other cultures.

Kirk Lynch half-set in D (http://home.hiwaay.net/~dbs/lynch_half_set.jpg)
Once hoped to have a K&Q flat full-set in any key, but I'll be done building my own before the list (when it opens back up) would get down to me ;) Anybody got a spare reamer :D

I WILL be playing a Boisvert C chanter very soon. I just got word that it'll be in the post by the end of the week and I am so very excited.

Here's hoping i'll be able to get to sleep before I have to get up for school in a few hours...

... Now i have to wait all week.... sigh...
