My C (half) set is what really floats my boat. If volume is more important, i'll play my concert full set, though usually i leave the bass reg off and play it as a 3/4 set.
...Again with the "flat set at home, concert set out" thing. Anyone would think we're embarassed to be seen/heard playing flat pipes! But it does seem to illustrate which set we'd play if we had to choose.
I am playing a practice set mostly from Joe Kennedy and (as soon as I can raise the cash) a half set completely by Joe Kennedy. The B sets, though.... sweet. I'm toying with the idea of extending my current bout of poverty and ordering a B half set from him. But first to pay the rent, food, etc. Sigh. Life would be sooooo much easier without bills.
Tell us something.: I am interested in the uilleann pipes and their typical -and broader- use. I have been composing and arranging for the instrument lately. I enjoy unusual harmonic combinations on the pipes. I use the pipes to play music of other cultures.

Tell us something.: I play a full set of Seth Gallagher uilleann pipes, have been taking lessons, listening, and practicing since 1983. Teachers have included Bill Ochs, and David Power.
Williams/Roberts half set in D - regs from Seth Gallagher not far away.
Bb full set from Brad Angus.
The flat set gets more attention at the moment..

"Don't be too proud of this technological terror you've constructed. The ability to play in concert pitch is insignificant next to the power of the Force."
