Chris Langan Weekend, Toronto, March 3 - 5, 2023

Post by Ross Griffiths »

Hello C&F:

The Chris Langan Traditional Irish Weekend is going to be back to an in-person gathering this year. Dates are March 3, 4, 5 and will be in the usual location in central Toronto, Ontario.

Details on schedule, lineup, locations can be found at:

https://chrislangan.ca/

This is a smaller festival than some but always a charmer with a great collection of players in attendance so save the date!

If you are close by or long overdue for a visit to Toronto, why not make it on this weekend? :)

Hope to see you there!

Regards,
Ross

I’m going to bring my D set to the CLW but I’m wondering whether it’s worth it to bring a flat chanter and if so, what pitch. Are there any flat sessions at the CLW?

A very enjoyable weekend in Toronto. My only regret was that my flight home meant that I had to miss the Piper's Chair and final session.

Big thanks to Debbie, Ross, Jared, Colm, Eamonn and all of the volunteers for making it happen. The weather on Friday evening/Saturday morning didn't cooperate but Debbie and Ross stepped up and gave workshops when Eamonn's flight was delayed. But Eamonn gave a workshop on Sunday morning which was very much appreciated. Excellent concert on Saturday evening.

My piping batteries were recharged!
