Unable to post image

Using the BBCode tag img I am unable to post images from any remote source.

This just shows 'Image' in the preview and a posted post. Why is this happening? I have posted images in the past.

Your attempt goes to the Gallery where the image is & is previewed.

Which can work only as a link.
If you View Image (right click context menu in Windows), you'll get the actual address of the image (a .jpg) you wanted, as above.
