Electronic Regulators?

Post by Piper Pig »

Anyone have any experience playing their half/ practice set with the iTunes regulator app using their phone or pad? I’m thinking about maybe trying to mount my phone or iPad mini to get my half set into a full set. Any ideas welcome.

Looks like you're on your own with with this one, PP. But good on you for trying out the unusual!

First and foremost, I guess you're thinking about training-up a "magic thumb" like Padraig McGovern's so that you can touch the screen easily. Then I suppose you would be strapping the phone to the drones somehow, maybe with a block or wedge of polystyrene in between to bring the screen to about where the regulator keys would normally be. Anyway, good luck with it.

I used to use Michael Eskin’s app.

The only problem I found was being able to accurately ‘strike’ the keys. I ended up using my iPhone in a cradle and using my nose!
