Whistle Tune Files on iPad

Post by LI Whistler »

I have accumulated many whistle tunes written in formal notation in jpeg and pdf files which I would like to store on an iPad. Can anyone recommend a tool or way of organiziing these files? No, I do not read from them as i play. They are a reminder for tunes learned a while ago or when someone plays a new tune I wish to learn.

Tell us something.: I have been playing the tin whistle for a year. I have never played a musical instrument before the tin whistle.

I save my sheet music on the free portion of an app titled Document by Readdle. Works a treat on the iPad.

Tell us something.: i've been making flutes for over twenty years, playing with friends and neighbors who help me tune my instruments and encourage me to share my art with the world. I carve bamboo flutes using concentrated sunlight and 3D-print whistle mouthpieces down to 42" contrabasses, as well as one-handed double tabor pipes.

The mac app 'preview' can stitch together PDFs; I combined 65 pages last night for our local session in Leesburg VA. I don't know if it works on jpegs; you might need to convert them to PDFs first.

I use an app called Tunebook on my iPhone. Worked well on my iPad, too.
