New version of Tunepal on the app store

There is a new version of Tunepal available on the App store since this morning:

1. Improved harmonicity based pitch detection as used in tunepal.org. This will make QBP searches more accurate, particularly for the concertina
2. When you find a tune by playing, Tunepal will give you a confidence score for the match and you can choose whether to add it to your collection or not.
3. You can now search by tune title as well as by playing. A title search can be done on all 12,000 + tunes from tunepal.org. Tunes are downloaded on demand.

Coming soon in version 1.3 (due in the next couple of weeks):

1. 5 line stave graphical display
2. Top 10 matching QBP tunes rather than just the closest match
3. Post matching tunes to your facebook page. A gimmick or useful?

Hi,
the app works really well. Seems like a miracle. Works much faster on the iPhone than matt2 on the MacBook. Really well done!

One question: The app always closes immediately when I hit "play" on the screen with the found abc-tune. Is this a bug?

Someone please buy me a Nexus One and I'll make an android version

WRT the program exiting when you hit play, I just did a test on my iPhone and it works fine. Would you mind letting me know what version of the iPhone OS you have installed and what tune it's happening for or is it all tunes? Also does it happen when you do a query by playing or by title? Finally, is this just happening in the new version or has it ever worked for you?
