Stolen Banjo: B&D Silver Bell, Brooklyn, NY

A place for our musicians to post information about instruments lost, stolen, or otherwise missing.
Forum rules
This is the C&F-wide forum for posting notices of any instruments which have been lost or stolen, or have gone missing.

Titles should include at least the type of instrument (flute, fiddle, etc.), the place of disappearance, and the nature of the loss.

Example: Stolen: Generation D whistle in Timbuktu

Reports linked from other sources or internet sites should include the basic information in addition to just the link.

In order to limit cross-posting, and to keep reporting and information centralized in one place, a post linking to a notice here (but not a copy) may be posted in ONE other C&F forum, typically the forum of the instrument involved.

Of course, follow-up posts to announce found or recovered instruments are always welcome!

Thanks - Your ChiffCo Management

Stolen Banjo: B&D Silver Bell, Brooklyn, NY

Post by ImNotIrish »

Please keep an eye out for my banjo. It was stolen out of my car last night in the Midwood section of Brooklyn, NY. It's a B&D Silver Bell. As soon as I can find pictures I will try and upload. This is the first series of Silver Bell. Resonator has round holes. It had a chili pepper strap attached at the time. In a hard shell case.
Thanks, Arbo.

Oh, so sorry, Arbo. Instrument thieves are scum. :swear:

I'm copying your notice to our Lost/Stolen/Missing forum, so look for replies there, too.

You should also alert The Session, and Ptarmigan's new Tenor Banjo forum (see sticky thread). The more eyes, the better.

Hoping for a quick recovery!

Two other small details: It has a bridge made by Mike Keyes identifiable by a 'K' on the face of the bridge.

Don't know if you're on the banjohangout.org but that might be a good place to post this as well.
