I don't think I've seen any other recorder player puff into the mouthpiece in quite the way she does.

Here's another performance of the same piece (a favorite of mine) just a few weeks ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOyw6c9D4EM. The tempo isn't quite as brisk, but I like it.

Yes, it's her way of articulating those detached notes at the beginning with a very soft attack, as if marked both staccato and tenuto. I've seen it before.
