Which Chalumeau to buy?

Post by papageno »

I wish to purchase a basic chalumeau in the key of C. The two contenders are the Sans and the Tupian. The price is about the same for each so neither has an advantage there. Does any one have experience with either of these makers? Please help me decide!

Thanks,

Roger

Well not much input here. Decided to go with the Tupian.

Good choice I think. The husband of one of my cousins has a number of Tupians and they seem to be well made. But not the easiest instrument to learn.
However those that don't overblow are much easier to play.
