To say I'm pleased to see that Lewis & Clark is still around is an understatement.
I was intimately involved with the establishment of the corps and was extremely proud of those first kids. The key to the corps at the time was John Dengler (RIP). Phenomenal man with a great deal of commitment.
And Old Towne in St. Charles. Without the support of the business owners, we'd never have been able to pull it off.
I remember teach in dining rooms, in basements and every little nook we could find.
when I left the area in 1993, I was glad to see the group taken up by Scott Mandrel and his wife, both Old Guard alums. I presume they're still there.
Love it that Skip, an Old Guard alum, is supporting the cause is terrific.
what a great feeling!
thanks!!

Hi Josh
You know, just about anyone, though Scott and Kathy for sure (assuming they're still with the group! I presume they are....).
Keep an eye out for Jack Stoecher, a former Old Guard drummer who played for Chatham (aka Morris County Militia) way back when. I knew Jack when I was living is St. Louis.
Great drummer with awesome hands. He learned from Bobby Thompson.
Enough said!
