Sporadically posting videos online these days because people need the music and I'm on lockdown so don't have much else to do! Did a flute one today and thought I'd share it here.

Tell us something.: I’ve been a musician all my life. My voice is an instrument and I have played many other types of instruments as well. At 63 years of age I decided to take up the Flute. I have a 10 year goal of playing on the stage at the Carnegie Hall. My teacher tells me I’m doing quite well for only six months in, but I also want to get other peoples opinions and helps. That’s why I’m here

My measly attempt at playing "Colonel Frazer". My wife almost walked in at the middle and I messed up at the end. But here goes nothing:

I just stumbled across these videos of Steffen Gabriel playing some flutes that he made himself.
Exceptional flute playing and making skills! Respect!

Steffen is a terrific flute player. I recommend checking out his album The Land's End Sessions (some tracks are available on youtube) as well as his band Deistch. I have the album Mittsommer sessions: it's great (mostly German folk music). They play a few tunes from this album in this video. Enjoy :)

Tell us something.: To add to the renaissance flute discussion that is under way. Well, the rest of this field is going to be taken up by a long sentence, which is this one, because a hundred characters are needed before it is accepted.
