I have for sale a Clair Godfroy wood flute passed on to me a family member. I'm interested in getting it into the right hands, for restoration or to a new home altogether, where it can get the proper care and attention it likely deserves.
One consult I received from a reputable flute restorer suggested it to be a Godfroy flute made of Cocus wood from the late 1800s, made sometime after the father had retired in 1840. There are several cracks on the head and foot pieces. Having not been played in many years it will be in need of restoration.
